Akeem Omolade
Akeem Oluwashegun Omolade (born 4 March 1983 in Kaduna) is a Nigerian footballer who currently plays for Borgata Terrenove in Promozione.
==Career==
Omolade arrived in Italy at the age of 17, joining Treviso in Serie B. On his first appearance, entering as a substitute in an away league game against Ternana, he was featured into national news due to Treviso organized ultras (at the time, notoriously known for supporting racist ideologies) leaving the stadium after he entered the pitch. On the next game, a home league match against Genoa, as a protest against the racist behaviour of their supporters, all Treviso players and non-playing staff members entered the pitch with their faces painted black; on that same game, Omolade also scored his first and only goal with a Treviso jersey.
He successively joined Serie A club Torino on July 2001, marking five appearances during the 2002–03 season. He was then loaned out to Novara, and then to Biellese. His professional career was however quite limited by injuries and he moved down to amateur football in Sicily in 2011, joining Eccellenza club Mazara. In 2012 he played for Ribera 1954 in Serie D, before returning to Mazara in 2013.
